- 无论在商店、公交车还是路上,你总会听到 “Sorry”, “Thank you”, “Cheers”, “Excuse me”。
- Barbara Chaneton
- Stanley Egbe:
- Abel Ureta-Vidal:
Cambridge Language Exchange
8.14 in Brewdog
Crafting a Career in Tech: Panel Discussion
https://www.meetup.com/cambridge-software-crafters/events/309865493
Timeline:
- 18:30 - 19:00 Network
- 19:00 - 20:30 Panel with Q&A
- 20:30 - 21:00 Network
IDEAS:
Proactively seek opportunities rather than waiting
AI developers should be acquainted with relevant legal knowledge, as this is crucial for making informed decisions regarding suitability and responsible development.
For global expansion, the budget for employee relocation is often limited.
Some recruiters value the potential, your passion and continuous learning.
Selling: a kind of communication. Focus on selling your value rather than just selling your code.
The ability to connect with people
How to differentiate yourself:
- Aim to generate passive opportunities by building a strong personal brand.
- In an age where AI can automate tasks, your human connections become your key differentiator. Therefore, actively build your network on platforms like LinkedIn.
Selling yourself, sharing sharing sharing
Change your role Or grow your role. It’s a question.
A big company offers ample opportunities for you to pursue your interests. Moreover, there are often many problems that remain unresolved.
Seek out individuals who are experiencing problems, listen to their challenges, and then demonstrate how you can provide a solution.
Focus on acquiring a wide array of skills: people skills, social skills, and professional skills, among others.
An interview is a process of mutual understanding.
CV
- prioritize clarity and a clean, well-organized layout.
- pay attention to subtle details like your email address; using a custom domain can make a more professional and memorable impression than a generic provider like Gmail.
Side projects
- The core value lies in the difficulty and significance of the problem you tackled, not just the specific technology you employed.
- Crucially, the project should be something you are genuinely interested in, as your passion will shine through.
In such a panel discussion, attendees can ask questions and engage in Q&A at any time if they feel it’s suitable.
